This privacy policy explains what account, device, analytics, and support data AddOne uses to run the app, the board, and related services.

Who operates AddOne
AddOne operates the app, the AddOne board services, and the related website from Los Angeles, California. For privacy, support, access, correction, or deletion questions, contact support@justadd.one.
AddOne is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. AddOne does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to AddOne, contact support@justadd.one and we will delete the account or information where required.
What we collect
AddOne collects account and profile information such as your email address, user ID, first name, last name, display name, username, and optional avatar image so the app can sign you in, identify your account, and power the profile and friends surfaces.
AddOne also stores device membership information, board or runtime state, and related device records needed to show your devices, sync changes, support onboarding and recovery flows, and render shared-board features.
The app sends a curated stream of product interaction events to PostHog and crash or diagnostic data to Sentry so we can understand app opens, sign-in and onboarding progress, day toggles, firmware updates, reliability issues, and launch-blocking failures. The app does not forward support-body text into analytics or crash reporting.
If you contact support, we keep the messages and account or device details you send to us. If you start account deletion in the app, we also store the deletion request record and follow-up status needed to process that request. We also store the version and acceptance timestamps for the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy you accept during sign-in or later required reacceptance.
AddOne stores email preference and lifecycle records so we can send optional onboarding, habit tips, board progress, and product update emails through Brevo. Those records may include your email address, internal account identifiers, preference flags, first habit timing, delivery status, opens, link clicks, unsubscribe status, bounce or complaint status, and similar operational metadata. Brevo may retain transactional email delivery, open, and click logs linked to your recipient address, account, or email. AddOne does not currently subscribe to or store Brevo open/click webhook events in Supabase; AddOne stores delivery and suppression events such as request, delivered, deferred, bounce, blocked, invalid, spam, and unsubscribe. For board-progress emails, AddOne may send Brevo derived progress categories or summary counts, such as green, red, inactive, mixed, restart, active days, completed weeks, and weekly target. AddOne does not need to send raw habit names to Brevo for this email flow.
If you answer an AddOne feedback survey, Tally may host the form, email AddOne a notification, and send AddOne your response through a signed webhook. AddOne may store the response, a random feedback token, survey stage, source, follow-up preference, and related operational context so we can read, organize, and improve the product. Feedback links include the token, survey stage, and source, and expire after about 180 days. Open-ended survey answers are not sent to PostHog.
As AddOne evolves, we may add related lifecycle messages, feedback forms, preference categories, product updates, board-progress summaries, or personalization based on your app and board activity. If a future feature materially changes what data is collected or how it is used, AddOne may update this policy and require reacceptance where appropriate.
How we use it
- Run the signed-in AddOne app, authenticate your account, and keep your account connected to your devices.
- Sync board state, profile updates, shared-board visibility, and support history across the app and backend.
- Measure launch-critical flows, investigate crashes, improve reliability, and debug real app failures.
- Send onboarding, habit tips, board progress, and product update emails when your preferences allow them.
- Read and act on survey responses, direct replies, support messages, and product feedback.
- Protect the service, detect abuse or fraud, and respond to account deletion or support requests.
Permissions and device access
AddOne asks for photo library access if you choose a profile avatar from your device.
AddOne asks for camera access if you choose to take a profile photo inside the app.
AddOne uses local-network access during device onboarding, setup, and recovery so the app can communicate with your AddOne hardware on the same network.
Service providers, sharing, and social visibility
We do not sell personal data, and AddOne does not use cross-app advertising tracking. Service providers such as Supabase, PostHog, Sentry, Brevo, Tally, hosting providers, website providers, and email or support tooling may process data on our behalf so the product can function, stay stable, communicate with users, collect feedback, and support launch operations.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse or fraud, enforce our terms, comply with law, or respond to lawful requests.
If you use friends or shared-board features, your profile details, avatar image, and board-related sharing data may be visible to the approved users involved in those features. Avatar images are stored and delivered in the format needed to display them inside the app.
Retention and security
AddOne keeps account, profile, device, and board records for as long as they are needed to operate the service and support your account. Observability and diagnostic data is kept for reliability, debugging, abuse prevention, and security review. Support and deletion-request records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, enforce our terms, and meet legal or operational obligations.
AddOne uses administrative, technical, and service-provider controls intended to protect data, but no system is perfectly secure and no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely safe.
Some records may still need to be retained after an account-deletion request or after deletion is completed for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, required opt-out handling, vendor deletion proof, or other legal obligations. When AddOne queues deletion with an email provider such as Brevo, it may briefly retain the account email only as needed to delete or suppress that vendor contact, then retain a hash or operational proof of the deletion request.
Your choices
You can review or change parts of your profile from inside the app. You can also contact AddOne at support@justadd.one about access, export, correction, deletion, support, or privacy questions.
Non-service emails are enabled by default when you accept these terms, but you can turn off all non-service email or individual categories from Profile > Email preferences. Every Brevo-powered email also includes unsubscribe or manage-preferences links. Those preference links are intentionally long-lived because they only manage optional AddOne email settings. Sign-in codes, account security messages, and legally required service notices are not controlled by those marketing or lifecycle preferences.
If you want to delete your account and you can still sign in, start the request inside the app from Profile > Support > Delete account. If you cannot sign in, email support from the address tied to your AddOne account so we can verify and process the request.
California residents can use the same support address to request access, correction, deletion, or information about personal information. AddOne does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
