Operator, eligibility, and account use

AddOne is operated from Los Angeles, California. Unless a separate checkout, platform, or hardware flow says otherwise, contact support@justadd.one for questions, complaints, or claims about the app and related services.

AddOne is intended for adults 18 and older. By using AddOne, you represent that you are at least 18, can form a binding agreement, and will use the product only for lawful personal or internal purposes.

You are responsible for the email address, sign-in flow, devices, network environment, and connected hardware tied to your AddOne account, and for all activity that happens through that account. Keep your device access, email access, and account details accurate and secure. If you believe someone accessed your account without permission, contact AddOne support promptly.

Hardware dependency, user responsibilities, and separate sale terms

AddOne is a companion product for the AddOne board. Many core features depend on compatible hardware, an authenticated account, internet access, local-network setup conditions, third-party infrastructure, electrical power, and current software support.

You are responsible for using supported devices, keeping your environment reasonably secure, following setup instructions, maintaining access to the email address tied to the account, and not relying on AddOne for any critical, hazardous, or high-risk use.

If AddOne offers hardware sales, preorder terms, shipping terms, return terms, or limited hardware warranty terms, those commerce-specific terms may be provided separately at checkout or on the website and will control over any conflict with these general app terms.

Email communication and preferences

By creating or using an AddOne account, you agree that AddOne may send account, service, onboarding, habit, board progress, and product emails related to the app and AddOne board. Sign-in codes and account security emails are service messages and are separate from optional lifecycle or marketing-style email.

Non-service onboarding, habit tips, board progress, product update, survey invitation, founder note, and related lifecycle emails are enabled by default. You can unsubscribe or manage categories from Profile > Email preferences, or by using the unsubscribe or manage-preferences links included in Brevo-powered emails. Those preference links may remain valid long-term because they only manage optional AddOne email settings.

Brevo may record transactional email delivery, opens, and link clicks linked to the recipient address, account, or email. AddOne does not currently subscribe to or store Brevo open/click webhook events in Supabase; AddOne stores delivery and suppression events used for deliverability, unsubscribe, bounce, complaint, and operational handling.

Replies to founder-led AddOne emails may be read and handled as support, product feedback, or account-related correspondence. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed for the conversation.

Some AddOne emails may invite you to answer short optional feedback surveys. Survey responses may be handled as product feedback and stored by AddOne and its form provider so the team can review and improve the app, hardware, onboarding, and habit experience. Feedback links use a random token, survey stage, and source, and expire after about 180 days.

AddOne may add or change email categories, feedback prompts, board-progress summaries, product updates, or personalization as the product evolves. Optional emails remain subject to your preferences, and service or legal notices may still be sent when needed to operate or protect the account.

License, profile content, and acceptable use

AddOne grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and related services for their intended personal or internal use. AddOne and its licensors keep all rights, title, and interest in the app, firmware, service, branding, and related materials.

You keep ownership of the profile details, avatar images, feedback, and other content you submit, but you grant AddOne a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and share that content as needed to operate the app, friends features, support flows, and related services.

Do not use AddOne to break the law, harm other people, bypass security, interfere with device operation, copy or reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where law clearly allows it, or access another user’s account, board, or data without authorization.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

AddOne has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior in any part of the app that reaches other users, including profile display name, username, avatar image, and habit name shared with approved friends. Prohibited content includes, without limitation: sexual or pornographic material; harassment, bullying, stalking, or targeted abuse; hate speech or content that attacks a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or serious disease; threats of violence or self-harm; promotion of illegal activity; impersonation; spam; and any content that violates another person’s rights.

Users may report objectionable content or abusive behavior from inside the app (tap the report menu on any viewer row or shared board card, or email support@justadd.one). AddOne reviews every report within 24 hours and acts on verified reports by removing the offending content, removing the viewer’s access, suspending the offending account, or permanently terminating the offending account, at AddOne’s sole discretion. Accounts used to harass or abuse other users, or to publish prohibited content, will be removed without refund. AddOne may, at any time and without notice, remove content or restrict account access where necessary to protect users or comply with law.

You agree that the license you grant AddOne over your submitted content (profile fields, avatar, habit name) includes the right to review, moderate, remove, and refuse to display that content if AddOne determines, in its reasonable judgment, that the content is objectionable or violates these terms.

Service changes, updates, and support boundaries

AddOne may change features, firmware behavior, service integrations, pricing, or availability as the product evolves. Some launch or beta features may be experimental, incomplete, changed later, or removed entirely.

We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent compatibility with every device, or that the service will achieve any personal, commercial, athletic, productivity, or health-related result.

AddOne may require app, firmware, or backend updates in order to keep the service functioning. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis for launch. AddOne does not provide a guaranteed response time, service level agreement, or emergency, health, or safety response channel.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, AddOne is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or uninterrupted performance.

AddOne is not a medical device, emergency service, monitoring system, or life-safety system. Do not rely on it where failure, delay, inaccurate state, or data loss could cause harm, injury, or property damage.

Liability limits, indemnity, suspension, and termination

To the maximum extent allowed by law, AddOne and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost business, or device, network, or service downtime.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, AddOne’s total liability arising out of or related to the app and related services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to AddOne for the product or service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AddOne and its operators from third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your content or conduct in the app or related services.

AddOne may suspend or restrict access if necessary for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, legal compliance, unpaid commerce obligations, or protection of the service and other users.

AddOne may also terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that creates legal, security, or operational risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, content license, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law, will survive.

Governing law, venue, export, and updates

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising from these terms or your use of AddOne must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to that forum.

You may not use AddOne if you are located in a country or region subject to a U.S. embargo or if you are on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after a terms update means you accept the revised terms. Where appropriate, AddOne may require you to review and reaccept the updated terms before you continue using the service.
